Important Update – Travel Disruption:
We are currently experiencing a high volume of calls and enquiries following the situation affecting travel to UAE and the Middle East destinations and transiting via Dubai or Doha to other destinations.
Thank you for your patience and understanding during this challenging time. Please bear with us while our teams work through impacted bookings as quickly as possible. We are closely monitoring developments and are focused on supporting all affected customers.
Where bookings are affected, we will contact you directly to discuss the next steps. Currently, no action is required unless you are contacted by us our admin team at head office. As always, we remain committed to supporting you and will continue to provide updates as more information becomes available with customers safety our priority.
We are working through the bookings impacted in a priority order travelling up to 30 March 2026. If your call is non-urgent or you are travelling after this date, please email us and we will get back to you as soon as we can.
We are closely monitoring developments and are focused on supporting all affected customers. If you are due
to depart on a package booking from 30 March to UAE and Middle East destinations as a final destination or transiting via the UAE and the Middle East to other destinations, our team will be in touch to discuss alternative options for your holiday in line with the airline policy. If we have already spoken with you and have amended your booking, your amended booking will stand.
Airspace restrictions and closures remain significant across the region, although the UAE has opened some tightly controlled routing corridors from Dubai and Abu Dhabi, allowing for a very limited number of flights to leave the area. It is extremely important that you monitor the airline apps and communications as flight confirmations may be given at short notice.
We strongly advise that you follow the most up-to-date travel advice from the UK Foreign Office and register your presence to receive alerts and updates. You can access official guidance via the FCDO website.
There is no need to contact us, we will be working through all affected bookings as quickly as possible. We kindly ask for your patience as we continue to work through this evolving situation, which we are keeping under constant, real-time review.

Brexit – Important Information
We have summarised answers to some of the more frequently asked questions raised by the United Kingdom’s departure from the European Union. Below, you’ll find a handy guide to the changes Brexit will bring to European holidays.
No. UK travellers do not require a visa to travel to the EU.
Please ensure each person travelling has a passport that:
-Is valid for a minimum of at least 6 months
-Is less than 10 years old
Travel may be refused if either of these are not adhered too.
Passport renewals – Your passport does need to be valid for the whole of your trip.
As long as you have a full UK driving licence, you don’t currently need an additional licence to drive in the EU. This has not changed following 31 January 2020.
Driving in the EU
From 1st January 2021, you may be required to have an International Driving Permit (IPD) when driving in Europe.
The Post Office has a handy tool for this – https://www.postoffice.co.uk/identity/international-driving-permit#IDP-Checker
Yes. Everything will stay the same, the UK and EU have ensured flights, ferries, cruises & trains will continue to operate as normal. You can still travel to Europe after the UK’s departure from the EU.
Please ensure that a valid travel insurance policy is in place before travelling. Please ensure the travel insurance policy covers any pre-existing medical conditions, as these were covered by the EHIC however, many insurance policies will not cover for existing conditions.
European Health Insurance Card (EHIC)
UK-issued European Health Insurance Cards (EHICs) are still valid and offer the same cover as GHICs in the EU. Once your EHIC has expired, you’ll be able to replace it with a GHIC.
The European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) allows any EU citizen to access state medical care when they are travelling in another EU country. Apply for a free UK Global Health Insurance Card (GHIC)
ABTA has always advised holidaymakers and business travellers to make sure they have appropriate travel insurance, whether they have an EHIC card or not, as there are limitations to EHIC.
When travelling in the EU and beyond, it is important you take out travel insurance and check that it covers your current circumstances, including any medical conditions. If you have an annual policy, make sure you check the Terms and Conditions and contact your insurance provider if you’re not sure.
Mobile roaming charges are changing. We advise you check with your network provider to understand your data roaming policy and charges.
